What was life like leading up to your diagnosis?
Self employed plumber. Very active with my family and the boys sporting events
How have you adjusted your lifestyle post-diagnosis?
It adjusted me.
What friend/family members provide support? How?
My 3 boys turned their backs on me. Lost friends people tend to look at you like you're a leper.
What is your greatest achievement in life that you are most proud of?
Was my boys. Now just getting out of bed.
If you were talking to someone recently diagnosed with COPD, what's some advice you would give them?
Listen to their docs. And try to stay motivated by walking and participating in pulmonary rehab.
What was the hardest thing to cope with after your diagnosis?
After reading the different stages, the thought of not being able to walk 10 feet without gasping for air.
