Today we are incredibly honored to bring you the next installment to our Share Your Story segment. The personal COPD story you will hear comes from Brenda Jordan.
Though she is diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Brenda looks at all the positive things in her life to help cope with such a progressive and often restrictive lung disease.
What was life like leading up to your diagnosis?

What friend/family members provide support? How?
Helping me at home with house work.
What is your greatest achievement in life that you are most proud of?
When I wake up in the morning and feel ok.
If you were talking to someone recently diagnosed with COPD, what's some advice you would give them?
Just to take it easy.
What was the hardest thing to cope with after your diagnosis?
Not being able to do the things I could have done without any hassle.
What else should we know about you?
Sleeping is very difficult for me.
Upon your diagnosis with COPD thoughts of depression, anxiety, and fear may have occured. Which many of you may be feeling to this day. But hopefully after reading Brenda's COPD story, you see that with incremental improvements in dieting, exercising, and treatments, mixed with a positive attitude you will be able to live a life of outstanding quality.
